Using Federal Census Records In Your Family History Research

Census records are a great way to make new discoveries about family relationships, occupations, and birth dates and locations. This workshop will review what questions the census asks each decade, and how to use census information effectively.

 

Craft Programs

  • Monday, May 6th, 2-3:30pm Cement Pot Class 

    Join us as we work together to make cement pots that can be used as bird feeders, bird baths, planters, or anything else you can think of.  We will provide the cement, tools and know-how.  Please bring two old towels that will be consumed by this craft. 

    This program is free and open to the public. Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult.

 

  • Monday, May 13th, 2-3:30pm Needle Tatting Class

    Join us as we explore this tradition of lace creation made easy with new techniques.  During this class you will learn the two basic techniques that are utilized to make amazing designs.  We will start with a flower, and I will teach you how to add beads to create a unique design. 

    This program is free and open to the public. All materials will be provided.  Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult.
